Right now at 7 pm it is 102 degrees, and we are hiding in our airconditioned house. But what was it at noon, I wonder? At noon we saw a doe and a buck running through a neighborhood in to a narrow patch of woods that parallesl a highway. This is next to one of those "fancy" outdoor shopping malls with a Barnes and Nobles and a Coldwater Creek. I love to see deer but this made me sad. So we had an ice cream bar. Worked out pretty well for us. Does "just eat the ice cream" qualify? (Or in more recent news, ice box cake- frozen cake+ice cream is a good thing by me.
